Cabo San Lucas Beaches to Visit
Located on the southern tip of the Baja California Sur peninsula, Cabo San Lucas is a top tourist destination with an excellent year round climate. With many luxury resorts, world class dining and shopping, and endless outdoor activities, Cabo truly has something for everyone. On your next visit to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico make sure you visit the top five best beaches in the area.
Chileno Beach
Chileno Beach is known as one of the best public beaches in the area and is a practical spot as there are public bathrooms, showers, and lifeguards keeping beach goers safe. It is popular for those who enjoy snorkeling due to the close proximity of the reefs from the store. There is ample parking for its many visitors, and it is a beautiful setting for a family beach day.
El Medano Beach
Located in walking distance from many hotels, restaurants and bars, El Médano beach is the most crowded beach in the area. Well suited for swimming and beach activities, there are lots of vendors at this beach selling food, Mexican handicrafts and assorted souvenirs. Take a boat tour to see Los Arcos up close, or rent a jet ski or try parachuting if you’re not afraid of heights. You will not be disappointed with the view from high above! In the mood for a massage on the beach? Masseuses routinely walk up and down the beach offering massages right on the sand so you won’t have to look far to get pampered.
Santa Maria Beach
A great spot for snorkeling and enjoying sea life, Santa Maria Beach’s crystal clear water and clean sand are unparalleled. However, it is a small bay so plan to arrive early if you want a shady spot. There are no restaurants located at Santa Maria Beach so you need to bring any food or drink with you that you need for the day. Don’t miss the small tide pools teeming with marine life located right off the shore….sea crabs, colorful fishes and even hedgehogs are often seen here!
Love Beach
A stunning location with desert dunes on one side and the majestic blue green sea on the other, Love Beach earned its name as the spot to find your soulmate for life…others say it is an amorous place where two people enter, but three leave! Swimming is not recommended at this beach due to strong tides and ocean currents. Watch the waves crashing on the rocks is enjoyable and relaxing, especially when snuggled up with your loved one.
Divorce Beach
Lost that loving feeling? Head to Divorce Beach which is ironically located right next to Love Beach. Do not swim at this beach as it also boasts strong tides and a rocky shoreline. There are not bathrooms or restaurants are located at this beach, so make it a beach picnic day and bring your lunch with you.
