Due to a renewal of Marina Vallarta, it has now become a hot tourist attraction all year round. During high season months between November through April, there is also an interesting farmers market held every Thursday evening starting at 6 pm . There are also many shops whether you are looking for clothing, souvenirs or even a nice bottle of tequila to take home.

Head to Sonora Prime Grill and take your pick from a generous menu of fine cuts and delicious wines. Have a craving for Chinese? The new P Chan restaurant is cute, cozy and well priced with authentic dumplings, lettuce wraps, Mongolian beef and so much more. Victor’s Tacuba Cafe is the best spot for authentic Mexican cuisine on a budget. Servings are generous and tasty, and the service is courteous and efficient. You are welcomed to start your meal with a free tequila shot, and a complimentary dessert of a sweet banana Kahlua dessert drink hits the spot. Looking for a trendy spot? Check out Almacen Gourmet that specializes in fresh, organic cuisine with a twist. If Italian is on your mind, plan ahead and book a reservation at La Terraza di Roma which is the only restaurant with patio seating above the water. Their homemade bread, pasta, pizzas along with live music will make it an evening not to forget.

Golfer’s Paradise

Do you have a golf lover in the family? Marina Vallarta is home to Vista Vallarta’s Jack Nicklaus Golf Course which is a Signature Design by Jack Nicklaus. All skill levels of golfers will love the gorgeous course due to the amazing Bay and Marina views from various holes. The par-72 course also has beautiful landscaping with shady ficus trees, natural creeks and palm forests throughout. Marina Vallarta weather is sunny and warm year round, so make sure to wear a hat and also be on the lookout for the local wildlife as the Marina is also home to crocodiles that make their homes in the creeks and waterholes in the area.

Nightlife

The nightlife at Marina Vallarta is a casual take on some of the more wild options in downtown Puerto Vallarta. It is an ideal spot for bar shopping as there are several restaurants and bars all within walking distance. La Condesa is a local’s favorite bar and restaurant that offers great music and economically priced, tasty food and drink deals. Planning a more romantic evening with your loved one? Headway up and check out the El Faro lighthouse bar. You can walk up the narrow spiral staircase to the top if you don’t mind the exercise, or simply ride the antique elevator to the top. You will be treated with stunning views of Marina Vallarta and the Sierra Madre mountains that will create a perfect backdrop for romance.

What vacation isn’t complete with a little pampering? There are several massage parlors and beauty spas in Marina Vallarta so you can make some time for you. Feeling adventurous? Give the fish pedicure a go which is located at the base of the El Faro Lighthouse. Tiny fish will nibble on your feet to ride them of old skin cells as you sit back and relax… if you aren’t too ticklish that is! Deep tissue massage and reflexology services are also offered at many reputable spas, and many do not require an appointment.
